I love this hat so much! I actually have an adult version. The sun protection is great, but the chin strap is the best part. The hat stays on when the ocean breezes blow. The hat can get wet and as long as you lay it on a flat surface to dry, it maintains its shape.

This is a high quality hat. I've had straw hats for my kid since he was 1 year old, and this is one of the nicest ones yet.

I find straw hats vary widely in quality and for the toddler age I like a hat the balances sturdiness with smush-ability for travel. Some hats smush too much and also don't bounce back from wrinkles / aren't packable. Some are soooo stiff and sturdy it can't pack. It's been hard for me to find ones that are the right balance and this is great!

– It has a generous rim that it great for sun protection.
– It fits the age stated – it is a little loose on my 2 year old toddler's head (he has a big head for his age) but is still wearable now which is great
– the adjustable strap is grear for keeping the wind from blowing it away or for it from falling off
– this Panama hat is very stylish; I want to find the matching adult version!

Having bought several hats in similar styles for a young kid – I highly recommend this one for value, functionality, and style – it is a good price and higher quality than other hats in this price range
